In BAMM terms, Goodnight, Texas are something of a supergroup, featuring moonlighting members of bands we know and love. Their permanent line-up includes Avi Vinocur (formerly of The Stone Foxes) and Patrick Dyer Wolf, and they are often accompanied by none other than Jonathan Kirchner (Con Brio) and Kelly McFarling. A great meeting of minds, then – and the end product is just as good as you’d expect.
Goodnight, Texas filter a haunting, folksy mist of raw Americana through a gritty modern aesthetic and emerge with time-stands-still moments like ‘Jesse Got Trapped In A Coal Mine’ (and no, that isn’t a spoiler for an upcoming ‘Breaking Bad’ episode – well, as far as we know anyway). Enjoy this exclusive performance … and if you like what you hear, be sure to check out their upcoming album ‘A Long Life Of Living’ which drops on October 2nd.
