WILD CHILD
The fantastic Wild Child (seen below in one of the greatest BAMM.tv videos to date) have announced a release party for their new album ‘The Runaround’, taking place at Austin City Limits, TX on October 11. It may seem like a while away, but demand will be high – so grab those tickets now! And if you can’t make it to Austin … make sure to pick up a copy of their new album anyway!
If you’ve been paying attention this week - and we hope you have, because there’ll be a test afterwards – you’ll know that singer-songwriter Diana Gameros is our Featured Artist right now. Remember this post, a few months ago, in which we mentioned that BAMM.tv favorites Calahen Morrison and Eli West (seen above in one of our many exclusive performances, which you can check out more of on our brand new iPad app) were looking for Kickstarter funding for their new album ‘Our Lady Of The Tall Trees’? Well, it looks like several dedicated fans stepped up to the plate – and the album itself is now available to download on CDBaby and iTunes.
It has already gathered a rave review from No Depression, but – if you’re a fan of that whole ‘try before you buy’ thing – you can check out the entire album below. Enjoy …
Take a look at the video above – a killer (and totally exclusive) BAMM.tv performance from Atlanta’s crazed psychedelic hip-hop rockers The Constellations. Ever since they treated us to this acoustic rendition of ‘Setback’ at the SXSW Festival a couple of years back, their star has been shining brighter and brighter (ha – see what we did there? Stars? Constellations? Right? Ah, forget it).
Anyway. If you like what you hear here, you should check out the soundtrack to Jennifer Garner’s slippery new comedy ‘Butter’, as The Constellations make an appearance therein. Trailer below …

BAMM TV: ‘Futuristic Electro’, Afro Q Ben
It’s proving to be a busy week for BAMM’s favored bands. Yesterday we told you all about the upcoming album from Canadian indie stars Hollerado … and now we’re going to add another must-buy purchase to your shopping list. Americana maestros Goodnight, Texas (featured in the video above with an exclusive BAMM.tv performance) unleashed ‘A Long Life Of Living’ earlier this week, and it’s already been getting rave reviews – Absolute Punk labelled it ‘as good as it gets’.

It’s been a summer of unique performances here at BAMM.tv. Having collaborated with our friends over at Audyssey and Noise Pop on a journey to bring you one-of-a-kind songwriters in one-of-a-kind settings, we were privileged to see some great artists in action.
Emily Jane White was no exception. Joined by the fantastic Shawn Aplay (cello) and Carey Lamprecht (violin), she treated us to a remarkable rendition of ‘Requiem Waltz’. Placed firmly in the hauntingly powerful lineage of Bat For Lashes and Joanna Newsom, this is a performance you’ll want to immerse yourself in time and time again.
We’ve made no secret of the fact that we’re huge fans of singer-songwriter Kelly McFarling here at BAMM.tv – and we’re happy to reveal that (if you’re a San Francisco native, or just happen to be in the area at the time) Kelly will be performing live at the Great American Music Hall next Wednesday (the 26th). The event will be a celebration of twenty years of Critical Mass, and she will be accompanied by fellow performers Papa Bear and the Easy Love and DonCat. You can check out a preview video above.
