Regina Spektor isn’t exactly an unknown quantity, but the question has to be asked: why isn’t she a massive star? This Russian-born New York-based anti-folk performer has been a source of constant musical joy since her first release ’11:11′ shook the indie scene way back in 2001. Five albums later – including her 2006 masterwork ‘Begin To Hope’ – and Spektor is gearing up to release her sixth full-length effort. ‘What We Saw From The Cheap Seats’ will be available from May 29th, and your music collection will officially cry tears of despair if you don’t pick up a copy.
